Gai Gai with Daddy and Mummy

27 May: Vivo City
Yeah! This is my first official gai gai to a shopping mall. Mummy said want to bring me to test test some sling pouch and don't know what kangaroo thingy. Wah.. Vivo City is so big and spacious, so many things to see. The lights are so bright that I can hardly open my eyes to explore around. I'm getting dizzy Mummy, think I better retreat into my sleep before I feel any worse.

Deep in my sleep, I felt lots of movements. Were Daddy and Mummy playing "Passing the baton"? One minute I felt the cushioning from Daddy, next minute was the warmth from Mummy, humph.. this went on for an hour or so??? Later then I realised that Mummy was trying on the Pupsik Sling on me. I was being transferred here and there until Mummy was comfortable with the usage of the pouch. So this is the kangaroo issue, and I am little joey =)

6 June: Motherhood Fair @ Expo Hall 6A
It was a long drive from Gong Gong's house to Expo. Mummy carried me in her arms throughout the entire journey, to and fro. Daddy dropped us at the foyer first while he waited for a parking lot. It wasn't long before Daddy joined us at the entrance. Mummy took out the Pupsik sling and in I went, snugged comfortably in the pocket. Mummy was quite focused and knew what to look out for, though we did browse around other booths. We headed towards Mums-in-Mind booth, where Mummy enquired about the use of MIM sling, cos she had difficulty placing me in and adjusting the size. The sales attendent was very patient and guided Mummy through the adjustments. So basically I was being used as a parcel, taken in and out as Mummy struggled to get me slinged up. (The same thing happened last time when we went to Vivo City!!)

Anyway, here's the purchases made: 4 boxes of Blue Egg milk bags, 2 packs of Nepia S diapers, 2 packs of Nepia M diapers and 1 box of Avent 250ml bottle.

7 June: Bugis Junction
Mummy took time off to enjoy a facial session while Daddy stayed home with me. It's nice to have Daddy around in the day time to keep me company, unlike the usual weekdays, where I only get to see Daddy under the moonlight. Anyway, Mummy spontaneously decided that we will tag along Yi Yi and Kaye cheh cheh to go shopping. So we picked up Mummy after her facial and drove straight to Bugis Junction. It was 3.30pm!!! Feeding time, Mummy!!! So hurriedly, all of us rushed to the children's department, found the baby care room and settled down for my meal. This is my first meal in a shopping mall. Humph, it felt weird to makan with so many other children. But hey, I got my milk, and that's all I'm concerned with. Mummy, on the other hand, had a difficult time as she has to hold me in position through the 40min meal.

It was also the first time that I got chauffeured around in my Maxi Cosi Car Seat. Daddy finally remembered to bring along the connector to the stroller (it slipped his mind last time).

10 June: Marina Square
Daddy surprised us this evening by knocking off early (6pm). He wanted to get a new pair of running shoes as his current one is worn out. We left home after dinner. For no apparent reason, Daddy decided to take Keppel Road instead of ECP. He mentioned about trying to delay time so that he can miss the ERP. However, he was taken aback when he saw the gantry light along Shenton Way. Though he managed to insert his cashcard, the IU still gave out a long beep (it doesn't sound good to me). The second gantry outside Fullerton Hotel, the IU gave a short beep (sounds correct) but Daddy exclaimed that there were no deduction made. Humph, I'm confused.

Anyway, it was rather quiet over at Marina Square, weekday evening perhaps. Daddy was trying out his shoes at Asics while Mummy strolled me around. Halfway through, I felt uncomfortable and was fussing around. I cannot remember what happened but I just kept on crying and crying.

Mummy picked up the courage and cuddled me tightly in her arms, tried all means and ways to pacify me (usually she will leave such task to Daddy). Well Mummy, you've made it. I enjoyed the warmth in Mummy arms and she was very happy that night. I believed Daddy too.

Happy Mummy = Happy Baby = Happy Daddy
Here's an ice-cream cone for you!

Sundown Marathon (30 May 09)

30 May was Addidas Sundaown Marathon, and Daddy had signed up for the 84km run (2x normal marathon fo 42km). Long before I was borned, Daddy was quite determined that he will try to complete the distance, but after a series of night watches and all those long afternoons of keeping Mummy company, he has no time to keep up with his training. So sorry Daddy, that you have to forsake your challenge of 84km. Well, nevertheless, Daddy completed the 42km route with Uncle Matthew. Though Daddy was 4min off his personal record of 6h, he enjoyed the run very much. I guess much credit comes from me =) Daddy said there were times during the run, when he will think of me and started to smile to himself. I'm you motivation Daddy!!!

Daddy booked a room at Changi Hotel that day. The initial plan was for Mummy and myself to retreat for the night in the comfort of the hotel room, but Mummy worried that she will not be able to handle me alone, even with the help from Auntie Pat, who offered to bunk in to keep us company.

Mummy decided to sleep over at Yi Yi's place instead. Yi Yi gave up her bed for Mummy and myself, and also wiped my body so that I can sleep more comfortably. Oh, Yi Yi managed to borrow 2 BIG BIG crayons from Khim cheh cheh and Zach gor gor for me to use as bosters.

Khim cheh cheh claimed that she couldnt't sleep and offered to look after me so that Mummy and Yi Yi can rest, but she didn't keep her words!!! She was tucked nicely under the blanket while Mummy fed me at 3plus. Yi Yi took over, cuddled and patted me to sleep after that. Mummy praised me for being such a darling that night. As such, we even spent the entire Sunday at Yi Yi's place, leaving only at 9pm.

Chinese Full Month Celebrations (23 May 09)

23 May was a very exciting day, as my Daddy and Mummy had thrown my very first party, to celebrate my growth and development in the first month. =P

My first gift is from Auntie YY. She mailed the parcel over from the States way back in early April. Guess what, it's a set of pink Polo Ralph top (with panties). Coincidentally, Daddy's friends, Uncle Kelvin and Auntie Alice also bought the same top. Good thing is, they got me a different colour (but there's no panties!)

Anyway, my Yi Po rushed down to Vivo City that particular morning to buy two sets of clothing for me (see pics below). She said it is important and basic courtesy to dress up nicely when meeting others for the first time, so she also dolled me up. In addition, she emphasised that clothings doubled up as a gift that she's giving on behalf of her sister (my grandma, who has been blessing me). Thank you Yi Po and my Po Po too!! =)

As for the food, Daddy has chosen Orange Clove as the caterer for my celebrations. According to him, their food is quite nice, and the decorations are very very well thought of. The uncle who delivered the food had spent much effort in making the display look very nice.

There were a lot of people who came to see me, and many of them had wanted to carry me. This includes my Daddy's Aunties, who were soooo excited in seeing me. They were basically queueing up for their turn!! I am just so popular. =P

I received a lot of gifts that day, so much that Daddy have to arrange them on the floor. I love all my presents!! There's Ang Baos too, and Daddy promised me that he will open a bank account for me soon. Thank you all uncles and aunties, for your kind gesture!! =)
